After hours

After hours services promote continuity of care, enabling patients to receive the right care at the right time, and reducing avoidable emergency department visits and hospitalisations.

After hours refers to services that are usually provided:

  • after 6pm and before 8am Monday to Friday
  • after 12 noon on Saturday
  • all day Sunday and public holidays.
