Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Education Grants
NT PHN recognises continuing ongoing CPD as essential for remote health professionals in maintaining and enhancing their knowledge and skills. CPD supports quality service delivery to remotes clients and the community. NT PHN will offer financial support to successful applicants to attend their nominated CPD activity, program or event.
CPD grants are subject to approval, and provide eligible health professionals with financial support, in the form of a grant up to $3,000 (GST exclusive).
Applications will be assessed by the grant panel on the last Wednesday of each calendar month. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their CPD and Education grant application within five working days of the grants panel meeting.
*Please note that the panel will not meet in December 2018 or January 2019. The next panel meeting will be held on 13 February 2019.
Health professionals in the fields of medicine, nursing or allied health, including Aboriginal health workers, who provide services in the primary health care sector in the Northern Territory are eligible to apply.
Eligible Health professionals can apply for one CPD grant per financial year. Additional applications may be considered at the discretion of the CPD grant panel.
Practitioners are not eligible to access NT PHN education grants in the following circumstances:
- retrospective CPD and education costs
- expenses that include international travel and/or attendance at international CPD or education events (expenses related to online training will be considered)
- study funded by other sources
- applications from health professionals employed directly by the Commonwealth, state, territory or local government bodies are ineligible to apply.
Applications will be assessed by an internal panel.
