Ms Nicki Herriot
Nicki Herriot is a dynamic professional with a focus on leading teams to build an inclusive and high performing organisation. Ms Herriot was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in October 2014. This follows her tenure as Executive Manager Corporate Services from April 2013 to October 2014.
Since her commencement with the organisation as Human Resources Manager in November 2012, Ms Herriot has been integral to the organisation’s rapid growth over this period. Ms Herriot has previously held the position of Director Workforce Engagement for Queensland Transport and Main Roads. As CEO, Nicki leads the Senior Executive Leadership Team and works with the Board to deliver strategically aligned leadership and support to the organisation.
Executive Manager Regional Partnership and Procurement
Ms Le Smith
Le Smith has been working within primary health care in the Northern Territory for a number of years. Having worked in the Division of General Practice, Medicare Locals and most recently Primary Health Networks, Ms Smith has witnessed the changing primary health care reform landscape. Ms Smith is currently responsible for the planning, development, commissioning, implementation, management and evaluation of health programs across the Northern Territory. Ms Smith contributes at strategic and operational levels to lead the improvement of health outcomes and system performance within a collaborative partnership approach.
Ms Smith is currently a Board Member of the Northern Territory Mental Health Coalition and Executive Board member of the United Nations Association of Australia- NT.

Executive Manager Workforce and Outreach Health Services
Ms Susi Wise
Located in Alice Springs, Susi Wise joined the Northern Territory Medicare Local in 2014 and worked across numerous health program areas including mental health and after hours. Ms Wise commenced as the Executive Manager for the Northern Territory Health Workforce Branch in February 2016. Ms Wise has an extensive background in health and holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Psychology.
Prior to moving to Alice Springs, Susi worked for 14 years with The Faculty of Health at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) managing the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre and later managing a range of QUT future workforce programs.

Executive Manager Corporate
Ms Shari Tanzer
Shari Tanzer commenced with the organisation in October 2015 as the Executive Manager Corporate. Ms Tanzer holds responsibility for Human Resource Management, Business Services and Corporate Governance.
Ms Tanzer’s career started within the financial services and insurance industry, during which time she transitioned into a HR role within the business. In 2010, Ms Tanzer completed a Master’s Degree and soon after shifted her focus from Human Resources to broader corporate leadership roles within local government. Ms Tanzer is a Certified Professional with the Australian HR Institute and an active member of Rotary International.

Executive Manager Integration and Improvement
Dr Tamsin Cockayne
Dr Tamsin Cockayne is a General Practitioner with expertise in Medical Education, Health Administration and Aboriginal health. Dr Cockayne has worked across a broad variety of clinical roles throughout the Top End over the last 17 years. Her management and medical education expertise have come from the leadership roles she has taken including Director of Medical Services at GDH in 2007- 2009, Director of Medical and Cultural Education at NTGPE 2011- 2016 and strategic Board and Council positions at both the NT and national level. More recently Dr Cockayne has completed a dual Masters in Public Health and Health Management and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Executive Manager Planning and Performance
Sarena brings a wealth of primary health and population health experience to NT PHN. Sarena has worked as a Registered Nurse in hospitals and in primary health care settings. She has also lived and worked in different health and cultural contexts, including in bigger picture health system strengthening initiatives led by WHO and the implementation of the Millennium Health Development goals. Sarena has a passion for Aboriginal and rural and remote health which began in central Australia in the mid 80’s when she led a coordinated response to the then emerging challenges of HIV/AIDS.
Sarena has broad experience in organisational and clinical quality and continuous quality improvement approaches, including CQI in Aboriginal Child and Maternal Health and Chronic Care Conditions. Sarena believes consumer and community leadership and working with and as part of the health system collectively will ensure we get the most benefit and best ways of care for all.
