Support for relocating to the Northern Territory

GPs can apply for the Health Professional Support Grant valued at up to $10,000 to assist with relocation expenses.

Other ways we can help you with your move to the NT:

  • organising a site visit for you, after you accept an offer of employment, so you can see where you will be working
  • providing an orientation program to introduce you to the clinical and cultural aspects of working in the NT and the health care system
  • helping you find locum cover when you need it, to maintain a work/life balance
  • continuing professional development, including grants, scholarships and bursaries, and Fellowship support (for GPs still in training)
  • assisting you with applications for funding under the General Practice Rural Incentives Program.
