Continuing professional development grant

These grants provide eligible health professionals with up to $1000 (GST exclusive) to pursue continuing professional development (CPD) or other education.

What can you use the grant for?

The grants can be used towards course fees and course-related expenses such as accommodation and travel costs.

We allocate the grants based on the perceived benefits of the training.

Eligibility

Health professionals (GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers) who provide primary health care services in a Modified Monash Model (MMM) 2 location in the NT are eligible for the grant.

More remote candidates, such as those who live in and provide services in MMM 3–7 areas) may be eligible for funding under the Health Workforce Scholarship Program.

Please note you need to apply and receive approval for the grant before going ahead with any education or professional development opportunities you would like to claim. Anything undertaken prior to approval is not eligible for payment.

Grant applications are open year-round, with applications being assessed by the grants panel on the below dates:

All applicants we be notified of the outcome of your application within 5 working days of the workforce grants panel meeting.
