Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service is a community organisation providing comprehensive primary health care to Biluru (Aboriginal) communities in the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region of the Northern Territory. What’s the role?

  • Provide early intervention, coordinated care and information and referral services.
  • Support General Practitioners and other medical staff including visiting health professionals and specialists.
  • Ensure all information given is provided in a way that the patient, carer, and community understand.
  • Screen patients and treat according to standards and patient’s journey.
  • Identify ‘at risk’ clients, e.g., older people, youth, and children.
  • Monitor/ maintain client group recalls.
  • Perform child and/or adult health checks.

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor of Nursing and/or Certificate IV in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice). Current registration as an AHP/ Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing Primary Health Care, utilising standard treatment manuals.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
