Healthy Living NT is the trading name of the Diabetes Association of the NT Inc. which was established in 1980. The Association is a charitable, member based, organisation for people with diabetes and related conditions. As a consumer based organisation the Association is managed by a voluntary board, committed to the well-being of all people with diabetes and related conditions.

What’s the role?
- Deliver an evidenced based private dietetics service
- Provide nutrition education to people with diabetes and cardiac conditions through a range of programs
- Undertake health promotion activities
- Support the development of educational resources
Is this the right role for you?
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA)
- Attained APD Status
- An understanding of private dietician practice
- NT Driver’s License (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to participate in planning, implementing and evaluating education programs, resource development and health promotion activities
- A well-developed understanding of adult education learning principles, presentation skills, stages of behaviour change and group education
- Awareness of cultural issues and their impact on clinical practice

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
