What’s the role?
To provide the highest standard of patient care, incorporating a holistic approach toward diagnosis and management of illness while promoting health and well-being.
- Delivering best-practice primary health care
- Providing appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges and varied health care needs
- Management of long-term conditions
- Providing appropriate health promotion and preventative health care
What do you need to apply?
Before you apply, we need you to have:
- Current specialist registration with the AHPRA
- General AHPRA registration considered
- Minimum experience of 3 years in general practice
- CPR or ALS certificate, undertaken within the past three years
- Current medical indemnity cover
- Current Police Clearance and current NT Working with Children (Ochre Card)
- Current Driver’s License
Opportunities for overseas trained General Practitioner or Junior Doctors:
- Do you hold general AHPRA registration and looking for a career change into general practice?
- Or are you an overseas trained general practitioner, eligible for general or provisional AHPRA registration?
- Are you a Junior Doctor in PGY 3-5 and interested in experiencing life in general practice?

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer support and financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
