  • Casual position supervising Exercise Stress Test (EST) sessions on behalf of NT Cardiac
  • Sessions held from 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • $150.00 + GST per hour ($1,125.00 + GST for a full day session)

What’s the role?

NT Cardiac is seeking suitable General Practitioners to supervise Exercise Stress Test (“EST”) sessions to improve access to services, enhance medical staff availability, and promote timely patient assessment and results for patients on a low-risk chest pain pathway.

The ESTs will be conducted in a hospital environment at NT Cardiac’s Chest Pain Assessment Clinic (“CPAC”) at Darwin Private Hospital, with appropriate critical care support services and Cardiologists supervising and accessible on site.

Is the role right for you?

The suitable General Practitioner will hold specialist or general registration with AHPRA and must have the ability to recognize through history taking and physical examination whether there are any contraindications to clinical exercise stress testing.

The practitioner should also be fully versed in the indications for clinical exercise stress testing and be able to evaluate these in the patient.
