What’s the role?
The role of the General Practitioner, is to provide medical services to the population served by Miwatj. This will include the management of acute and chronic conditions and assistance with the delivery of promotion and primary health care.
Duties include:
- Participate in the daily clinical and health promotional routines
- Review and follow-up of patients with on-going conditions
- Provide clinical management of chronic conditions
Is this the right role for you?
Before you apply, we need you to have:
- Medical Practitioner’s Specialist GP Registration with AHPRA and extensive experience in General Practice
- Understanding of issues effecting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Commitment to improving Aboriginal health through primary health care
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer support and financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment.
