NT Health Services wanted for More Doctors For Rural Australia

NT PHN/RWA NT are recruiting passionate GP’s through the More Doctors for Rural Australia Program (MDRAP), to join your committed teams.

All participants registering for MDRAP, undergo a comprehensive recruitment, screening and credentialing process. This includes an interview with an NT PHN/RWA NT clinical advisor, to ensure that an MDRAP participant is prepared to join your clinic.

What’s in it for your clinic?

  • Tailored recruitment consultation to find a suitable participant to join your clinic
  • Assistance with all documentation required from your clinic and the MDRAP participant
  • Financial support package of up to $30,000 per doctor, per year to support the supervision of a participant
  • Rest assured that your MDRAP participant will also be provided with up to $13,600, for support in learning and development activities
  • Provide a non-VR doctor with a valuable general practice experience
  • “Grow Your Own” GP that has the skills and knowledge to support your clinic’s patients
  • Ongoing support while the participant is on MDRAP

What will the GP need to apply?

  • Current or eligible for general or provisional AHPRA registration
  • PGY 3-5 Junior Doctor
  • Previous experience working in general practice, or a desire to transition from hospital experience to general practice
  • Be passionate and committed to improving the health outcomes of your patients

How can you find out more?

The MDRAP program is an opportunity for health services to recruit non-VR doctors and provide them with valuable general practice experience, before joining a College-led Fellowship program. The program also supports the participant with up to $13,600 for learning and development activities, to upskill in approved areas of general practice.
