About the Opportunity
This role is responsible for project managing the development and implementation of a joint Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Regional Plan (Regional Plan) by December 2022 across five regions in the Northern Territory. This role will be responsible for leading and managing all activities specified in the Project Plan (the Plan) and ensuring the operationalisation and timely management of workstreams and associated dependencies. This role will work collaboratively with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders.
What you will bring to the role
If you have the following skills and experience, we’d love to chat:
- A degree with a proven experience in managing complex social and / or health related projects at a system-wide level (ideally minimum 5 years’ experience)
- Demonstrated transformational leadership style and skills to drive change towards agreed results and/or outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in applying project management techniques and processes to successfully deliver within complex contexts
- Proven knowledge and experience working in health and /or social reform including system improvement for community benefit
- Demonstrated ability to create positive and collaborative relationships with a diverse wide range of people including health and social organisations, consumers, carers and people with lived experience.
- Experience and /or qualifications in mental health, suicide prevention and social and emotional wellbeing
- A sound knowledge of the Northern Territory and Australian policy reform context for mental health, suicide prevention and Aboriginal health.
- Excellent engagement skills with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Experience working in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity.
- Personal qualities of energy, initiative, commitment to teamwork and collaboration and respect for others.
- Demonstrates relationship orientation, deliver a high-quality service to stakeholders, with an awareness of the commercial impact of decisions.
- Demonstrates responsiveness and accountability, taking necessary actions and decisions to meet objectives.
