Rural Workforce Agency NT (RWA NT) are partnering with Berrimah Family Practice who are seeking a registered nurse to join their passionate team.

Berrimah Family Practice is conveniently located beside the Chemist Warehouse in Berrimah. Services include, women’s health, men’s health, children’s health checks, mental health, a strong focus on preventative healthcare and Indigenous health with culturally appropriate care.
As the successful registered nurse, you will join a friendly and dynamic team to provide high quality primary healthcare services. Bringing your previous skills and knowledge to your new role, you will be able to deliver your best healthcare whilst enjoying the Northern Territory lifestyle, amazing sunsets and exploring stunning locations.

What’s the role?
Berrimah Family Practice offer a comprehensive primary healthcare for individuals and families across all ages, genders, diseases and conditions, with services including preventative and indigenous healthcare.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Providing adult and childhood immunisations
  • Assisting with care plans and supporting nursing students
  • Supporting doctors in caring for patients in the treatment room, and assisting in emergencies
  • Assisting doctors in procedures i.e. biopsies and any other procedures
  • Providing assistance to reception staff as required

Is the role right for you?
Before you reach out and apply, we need you to have:

  • Unrestricted working rights within Australia
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and hold Professional Indemnity Cover
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in community-based nursing including patient education and health promotion
  • Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment, drugs and care plans
  • Current Police Clearance and Working with Children (Ochre Card)
