Northern Territory PHN, incorporating the Rural Workforce Agency NT, are seeking expressions of interest from international nurses seeking opportunities in the Northern Territory, Australia. We place primary health care nurses with Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisations and Not-For-Profit organisations from locations such as urban Darwin to rural and remote communities across the NT.

Am I eligible?
Yes, if:

  • at the in-person presentation stage of registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • minimum 5 years broad nursing experience, preferably in primary health care
  • hold a visa that permits work in Australia (with the exception of those holding New Zealand Citizenship)
  • commit to all travel requirements, such as vaccination and quarantine.

Under a new government program, assistance can be provided in arranging visas, booking fully flexible economy seats on existing commercial flights and arranging travel exemptions and any other border clearances. You will only be eligible for this at the offer stage of employment. Practitioners (or employers) will be required to reimburse the government for the cost of flights.
