Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service is a community organisation providing comprehensive primary health care to Biluru communities in the Yilli Rreung Region of the Northern Territory. The purpose of Danila Dilba Health Service is to improve the physical, mental, cultural and social wellbeing of the Biluru people of the Yilli Rreung region through innovative, culturally safe and effective comprehensive primary health care programs and services.

What’s the role?
The Team Leader is responsible for the direct supervision coordination of quality, culturally sensitive, comprehensive primary health care clinical service programs at Humpty Doo clinic.
- Provide clinical services to clients including screening and initial diagnosis, treatment and referrals, provision of healthy lifestyles information as necessary ensuring compliance with agreed service levels and national health accreditation standards so performance targets are met or exceeded.
- Oversee visiting clinicians / counsellors and intervene when required to ensure appropriate rostering, client workflow management and compliance.
- Assist GPs and other clinical staff as required including visiting health professionals and specialists.
- Coordinate external clinical requests as required for clients not eligible for Care Coordination services.
Is this the right role for you?
- Current registration as a Nurse including relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history; and,
- Demonstrated understanding of the social issues that impact on Indigenous peoples.
- Demonstrated management and organisational abilities.
