What’s the role?
- Provide leadership to the implementation and integration of services at the Malak Hub
- This role has a particular focus on promoting the services offered at the Malak Hub, building community awareness and supporting staff to meet program obligations
- Help to establish operational procedures which impact on activities undertaken and outcomes achieved by the organisation
- Responsible for decision-making and the provision of expert advice to other areas of the organisation
- The Family and Community Wellbeing service consists of three programs that work together to provide a range of programs, activities, and experiences to promote wellbeing and positive family functioning: Children & Parenting, Family Mental Health Support and Children’s Contact Centre.
Is this the right role for you?
- Relevant qualification Social Work, Psychology and/or Counselling and relevant extensive experience.
- Membership or eligibility to join a governing body such as PACFA, AASW, or ACA and ACCSA, APA
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills encompassing report writing, case note writing and supervision and the ability to communicate effectively with managers, staff, and stakeholders across a range of diverse cultural groups and settings.
- Experience in recording and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data in line with program requirements and leading a team to do the same.
- Experience in providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff.
- Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people.
