Health Professional Support Grant (HPSG)
Health professionals making the transition to live and work in the Northern Territory can apply to NT PHN for a relocation grant of up to $10,000. Funding can assist with reimbursement of costs associated with relocation, upskilling courses, rental assistance and much more.
Eligible Health Professions
GP’s must hold specialist registration as a general practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and be Vocationally Registered (VR) GP’s with either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Nursing, Allied Health Professionals, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and other Eligible Professions.
All health professionals must hold current vocational registration with AHPRA, and/or meet the relevant Australian credentialing requirements relevant to their profession.
- Health professional must be recruited by NT PHN and receive an employment offer for a minimum of 12 months.
- Relocation should be for the purpose of employment to areas classified ASGC RA3 to ASGC RA5.
- The role the health professional is recruited to must provide a minimum of 5 sessions per week, 2.5 days a week or a minimum 0.5 full time equivalent.
Note: The relocation grant amount is dependent on meeting the eligibility criteria, and subject to approval.
