Creating Hope Through Action – World Suicide Prevention Day

The Mental Health Association of Central Australia invites community members to come together to recognise the impacts of suicide, commemorate those who have been lost and learn about suicide prevention initiatives at the Creating Hope Through Action World Suicide Prevention Day event.

Creating Hope Through Action will be held 11am-1 pm on Friday 10 September on the Alice Springs Town Council Chamber lawns.

There will be music from local singer songwriter Paul Ah Chee, stalls and activities from community organisations, a smoking ceremony, welcome to country, speakers from the community, a free BBQ lunch and a flower ceremony.

This event is free and for the whole community.

The event has been organised by the Mental Health Association of Central Australia and the Life Promotion Network of Central Australia with the support of the Alice Springs Town Council, Northern Territory Government, Public Health Network Northern Territory, Mental Health Fellowship of Australia NT, Lhere Artepe, Akeyulerre, Children’s Ground and Tangentyere Council.
