The NT PHN invites GPs with an interest in colorectal health, to a professional development dinner with Dr Venkat Shanmugam, a Consultant colorectal & general surgeon at RDH.

Presenter

Dr Venkatesh Shanmugam is a Consultant colorectal & general surgeon at RDH and a Senior Lecturer at Teesside University in the UK. Prior to coming to Darwin, Venkat worked in the UK as a Consultant Surgeon with special interest in colorectal cancer, laparoscopic colorectal and pelvic floor work.

Learning objectives 
By the end of this session, GPs will:

  • Have an understanding of the new colonoscopy pathway that will be introduced in NT hospitals
  • Have improved knowledge of colorectal indications/surveillance.
