Join international keynote speaker Associate Professor Treena Delormier from McGill University in Quebec along with Professor Alex Brown and Dr Karla Canuto from SAHMRI and members of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group at the virtual Annual Educational Symposium.

This theme for this year’s symposium is “Community Leading the Way: Engaging and Guiding Research”.

Presenters will cover the following topics:

  • Community Engagement & Diabetes Prevention programs with First Nations Canadian communities and Australian Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Co-design and community based prevention
  • Links between mental health & diabetes
  • Lived experiences of community based research and perspectives of Aboriginal Health Practitioners
