Complimentary “Fundamentals of Practice Management” Short Course delivered by University of New England (UNE) Partnerships

Join AAPM in 2023 and receive a complimentary “Fundamentals of Practice Management” online short course through UNE Partnerships (UNEP), the vocational training arm of the University of New England. The Fundamentals of Practice Management course has been a valuable training experience for new and emerging Practice Managers.

Target Group

The Fundamentals of Practice Management short course has been developed in partnership with the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) and is suitable for all staff, GP’s, Nurses and Doctors within the medical practice.

Entry Requirements

Recommended Education

• Year 12; OR
• Certificate IV level qualification; OR
• Language, literacy, and numeracy evaluation.

Recommended Work Experience

• Currently working as a Practice manager; OR
• 3+ years of RELEVANT work experience; OR
• 5+ years of ANY work experience.

Modules for HCFPCM401 – Health and Community Short Course

Students, upon successful completion of these four modules in this short course, will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Module 1 Human Resource Management
Module 2 Business Operations
Module 3 Risk, Compliance and WHS
Module 4 Leading a Team for Practice Improvement

Participants will be equipped with checklists and tools to apply in their practice, including a Practice Improvement Plan and Personal Development Plan. All study materials are online and includes a 1/2 hour coaching session that will support students to plan and implement their future.

• AAPM Members – FREE, if joining in 2023
• Existing AAPM Members & Non Members – $495

CPD Points

20 AAPM Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points are recognised by AAPM upon full completion of this short course.
