Accredited Activity Workshop (40 CPD points)

This interactive workshop provides attendees with the skills to increase their confidence in diagnosing, treating and referring a range of skin cancers and non-surgical modalities for field change frequently seen in general practice. With patients typically presenting first to their GPs at the sign of any skin conditions, this dermatology workshop is a must for all GPs looking to update their knowledge in this area. The highly interactive practical session will cover procedural skills in suturing and dermoscopy.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Confidently diagnose various sub-types of BCC, SCC and melanoma
  • Outline appropriate management of sub-types of BCC, SCC and melanoma
  • Define key features in the dermatoscopic analysis of melanocytic and non-melanocytic lesions
  • Identify pathways for systematic investigation and management of lesions in primary care
  • Outline the clinical significance of histology reports in the pathological diagnosis of skin tumours
