What’s the role?
  • Deliver culturally appropriate services, including individual, couple and family counselling
  • Facilitate group work, community awareness and service promotion activities
  • Provide information and supported referrals to people and families where appropriate
  • Adhere to contractual requirements, funding and program guidelines, associated work plans, performance standards and professional codes of conduct
  • Complete documentation including case notes, client records and data collection in a professional and timely manner
Is this the right role for you?
  • Higher education (tertiary) qualifications in social science discipline such as Psychology, Social Work or Counselling
  • Eligibility for membership/ credentialing with relevant professional/ registration body
  • Counselling experience in relevant field along with demonstrated interest in and commitment to working with children, adolescents and adults in a child & family approach
  • Maintain registration with professional associations such as AHPRA, the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Demonstrated commitment to child and family focus principles of service delivery
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills, resilience, ability to multitask and work under pressure and a commitment to a productive, cooperative and friendly workplace
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
