Embrace the balance between acute care and chronic disease management across all age groups. Collaborating closely with nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners, you’ll hold a pivotal role within the team.
 
During remote rotations, you’ll reside within communities, gaining a profound understanding of remote living and fostering cross-cultural interactions. For those inclined, there’s potential to explore hospital work, especially in areas like obstetrics, emergency, or anaesthesia.

What do you need to apply?
 
  • Hold current specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Be a Fellow of the RACGP or ACRRM, or possess a minimum of five years’ GP experience
  • Demonstrate awareness, sensitivity, and a grasp of contemporary Aboriginal cultural and historical matters
  • Experience as a supervisor of GP registrars or additional qualifications are advantageous
  • Exhibit appropriate health and fitness levels for remote travel and work
