What’s the role?
- Supply medicines, including prescription and non-prescription medicines in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act regulations and guidelines
- Maximise sales by ensuring that stock levels of the pharmacy are correct and that all stock is presented and well promoted
- Actively engage with customers at the dispensary counter and in the pharmacy, assisting with non-prescription medicine sales
- Mentor and develop the dispensary team ensuring professionalism and ethics are maintained within the pharmacy practice
- Communicate clearly, effectively and in a timely manner with all internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in, and contribute to, professional development strategies (education and training) to improve current and future professional practice
- Comply with all policies and procedures to meet appropriate professional and workplace health and safety standards
- Undertake specified projects as directed by Pharmacist Manager, RPM, and or BDM
Is this the right role for you?
- Relevant qualifications in Pharmacy with registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Clear and effective communication skills, with attention to detail
- Immunisation certification
- Retail Pharmacy industry experience
- Work as part of a positive team of Pharmacists that promotes the best patient health outcomes
- Consult with customers on medications, health and well-being
- Ensure scripts are dispensed and checked accurately and efficiently
- Assist pharmacy assistants in handling patient queries
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
