The position is for an occupational therapist or physiotherapist with a keen interest in hand therapy. Territory hands have a dedicated training program called the Seed New Therapist Program for the first year of hand therapy for those wanting to get into this specialisation.

What’s the role?
  • Provision of hand therapy
  • Assessment and treatment of clients, including goal and treatment planning
  • Reassessment and progression of treatment and client education
  • Work cohesively within the team to assist with the smooth running of Territory Hands.
  • Case load – predominantly trauma – sport, work or road incidents (Age range 0-99+)
  • Have access to a large allied health network across the NT
  • Work closely with visiting and Darwin based hand surgeons
Is this the right role for you?
  • You will have an appropriate tertiary level qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • You have AHPRA registration (or eligible to obtain it)
  • You are dedicated and focused on providing high levels of service.
  • Passionate about learning and growing your skills
  • Great communication and team work skills
Please note – Territory hands require each applicant to take a personality type quiz, learning style quiz and video “cover letter” to tell us why you would love to work with them and why you have chosen hand therapy.
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
