What’s the role?
 
  • Providing adult and childhood immunisations
  • Assisting with care plans and supporting nursing students
  • Supporting doctors in caring for patients in the treatment room, and assisting in emergencies
  • Assisting doctors in procedures i.e. biopsies and any other procedures
  • Providing assistance to reception staff as required
 
Is the role right for you?
 
  • Current registration, as a Registered Nurse, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in general practice or primary health care setting, graduates considered.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, and ability to work autonomously and as a strong team player
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in community-based nursing including patient education and health promotion
  • Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment, drugs and care plans
  • Current Police History Check, NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and Current CPR and Immunisation Certificate

A further 25-minute drive will see you amongst mango farms, rural properties and bushland.
