What’s the role?

  • Provide a high-quality service that includes mental health assessments, development of appropriate interventions; and provide recommendations for on-going care, family work, counselling, advocacy in collaboration with other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure continuity of care for clients through participation in stakeholder meetings, networking with other community service providers.
  • Ensure clients receive culturally appropriate services, the use of interpreters and commitment to cultural education and communication.
  • Ensure records are maintained through accurate data collection, appropriate recording and file keeping.
  • Ensure the highest quality services is provided through continuing professional development, participation in clinical and cultural supervision

Is this the right role for you?

  • Relevant qualifications in Mental Health Social Work that meets membership eligibility requirements of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Substantial post registration experience in providing a high level clinical social work services to clients, families/carers and the ability to provide an effective service as a member of our team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong capability to work independently and as a valued team member
  • Current Ochre Card and Criminal History Check

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
