COVID-19 vaccine for kids

You can now get your child vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. The dose is one third of the amount compared to the vaccine for people aged 12 and over.

As a parent or legal guardian, you are required to provide consent for your child to be vaccinated.

To be fully vaccinated, children will need two doses, eight weeks apart.

Research shows that the Pfizer vaccine is up to 91 per cent effective in children. By getting your child vaccinated, you’re helping stop the spread of COVID-19 and reducing their risk of hospitalization.

All Territorians, including children, can get the COVID-19 vaccine at NT Health vaccination centres, participating GP clinics, respiratory clinics, and Aboriginal health clinics.
