POSTPONED – safeTALKS suicide prevention workshops

Updated on 17 November 2021

Unfortunately due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in the NT we have had to postpone these face-to-face workshops until further notice. Please check back soon for new dates.

Knowing how to recognise and respond if someone is having thoughts of suicide can be difficult. Which is why we’re running workshops across the NT to help provide people with the right skills, and confidence, to talk about suicide and help keep someone safe.

SsfeTALK workshops are designed to teach people how to recognise the signs of suicide and engage someone to seek intervention resources for support.

The workshops are face-to-face and run for four hours featuring powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice. They will:

  • improve trainee skills and readiness
  • help break down suicide stigma in communities
  • ensure a high rate of skill retention by attendees.

Attendees will have no adverse effects from the training.
