RWA NT are partnering with Arnhem Allied Health Centre to find a full or part time Occupational Therapist to join a motivating mix of clinical private practice, work related rehabilitation, NDIS exercise rehabilitation services and classes, a solid GP referral base, with opportunities to increase your clinical experience.

Arnhem Allied Health Centre is a one-stop health hub that provides a range of services from General Medical Practice, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Optometry, full administration support, state of the art technologies, fully equipped consultation room, exercise studio and fully digital record keeping available.

Being a qualified occupational therapist who will support individuals in achieving a lifestyle of their choice, by providing contemporary OT therapy services, you will be able to maximise independence and participation. Nhulunbuy is located in Arnhem Land and has around 3500 people in the local community and then acts as a service hub to the surrounding East Arnhem region, servicing over 20 Aboriginal communities and around 16000 people. It is a beautiful and diverse part of the Northern Territory with untouched beaches and coastline and a one-hour flight from Darwin. Arnhem Land is tropical, and picturesque surrounded by pristine beaches and argued to have some of the best fishing and oldest Aboriginal rock art in the world.

  • Independent management of OT caseload
  • Community Home visits
  • Facilitating support workers to implement therapy programs
  • Multidisciplinary working with providers involved
  • Prescription of equipment and home modifications
  • Comprehensive report writing to support participants future NDIS plan recommendations
  • A team approach to the treatment of your clients and to all aspects of your work within the practice with an ability to work independently
  • An ability to work with a team of allied health professionals
  • A positive “can-do” approach and relationship focused personality
  • An eagerness to build and nurture your own Case load and professional profile


To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the below essential criteria:

  • Occupational Therapy qualifications as recognised by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and current registration with AHPRA
  • An ability to work with a team of allied health professionals
  •  A positive ‘can-do’ approach and relationship focused personality
  • An eagerness to build and nurture your own case load
  • A strong interest and experience in Pediatrics
  • Experience working with NDIS clients and reporting structure
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and report writing skills
  • Ability to establish relationships with referrers and promote services
  • Hold a current NT working with Children’s Clearance (OCHRE card) or ability to obtain
