The Organisation:

The Role:

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include the delivery of Physiotherapy services with an exciting combination of FIFO travel to remote communities in the Northern Territory, as well as clinic-based work in Palmerston and Darwin. Being highly motivated, passionate and caring, you will be part of an expanding team that provides chronic disease treatment, MSK, Cardiac and Chest Physiotherapy to a diverse population, with the aim of promoting positive lifestyle changes and improve health outcomes.

The Location: The Top End

The Top End region is home to Darwin, Australia's only tropical capital city. Darwin is arguably one of Australia's most cosmopolitan cities with a population consisting of more than 60 nationalities. The greater Darwin area has a population of approximately 120,500 people.

The city's multicultural mix is highlighted by its many exciting cultural festivals and weekly food and craft markets. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained including the Deckchair Cinema, sailing, museums and shopping centres as well as being nearby Litchfield National Park for great camping and swimming. The region has a tropical climate with a distinctive dry and wet season.


Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Reliably assess, diagnose and safely deliver physiotherapy services across a wide range clinical areas and health conditions
  • Design, prescribe and supervise exercise based rehabilitation
  • Able to assess efficiency of treatment plans, modify and refer accordingly
  • Practice duty of care, including meeting clinic standards and accountability
  • Provide safe, effective, outcome driven clinical care to our clients through knowledge of scope of practice, referral pathways and communication with other stakeholders and treatment providers

Essential Criteria:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the below essential criteria:

  • Current resume with 2 contactable referees
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge base in Physiotherapy
  • High levels of autonomy and initiative
  • Ability to positively lead teams
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Effective time management skills and able to provide examples
  • Demonstrated personable skills and ability to develop long lasting working relationships with teams, current and future clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability working in a team environment
  • Strength in building customer and stakeholder relationships
  • An understanding of medical terminology, medical and allied health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to remote communities of the Northern Territory
  • Willingness to work reasonable additional hours as required
  • Current Senior First Aid
  • Current Police clearance
  • Current Working with Children (Ochre Card)
  • Current driver’s license

Desired Criteria:

  • Post-Graduate Qualifications in relevant field
  • Proactive in developing and implementing initiatives
