The Practice:

Rural Workforce Agency NT (RWA NT) are partnering with Berrimah Family Practice, who are seeking expressions of interest from experienced General Practitioners to join their passionate team. Berrimah Family Practice are committed to providing the best quality health care to their patients that include, women's health, men's health, children's health checks, mental health, a strong focus on preventative health care and Indigenous health with culturally appropriate care. Conveniently located inside Berrimah Chemist Warehouse, and open 7 days per week for consultations.

The Role:

As the successful General Practitioner, you will join a friendly and dynamic team to provide high quality primary health care services, in keeping with best practice standards. Bringing your previous skills and knowledge to your new role, you will be able to deliver your best health care to your new patients, whilst enjoying the Northern Territory lifestyle, amazing sunsets and stunning locations to explore.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges and varied health care needs
  • Provide management of long-term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways
  • Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients
  • Refer patients to other health providers and specialists as appropriate
  • Actively communicate and coordinate with colleagues, specialist services and allied health professionals when sharing patient care
  • Maintain patient and practice confidentiality at all times

Essential Selection Criteria:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the below essential criteria:

Only applicants with full working rights within Australia will be considered (Australian Citizen or Permanent Residents) and eligible for general AHPRA registration

  • Current resume with 2 contactable referees
  • Australian recognised medical degree
  • Current general or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Two to five years previous experience in general practice
  • CPR or ALS certificate, undertaken within the past three years
  • Current medical indemnity cover or ability to obtain
  • Experience in Aboriginal Health is an advantage
  • Current Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children (Ochre Card)
  • Current Driver’s License
