Rural Workforce Agency NT (RWA NT) are partnering with Northside Health NT, who are seeking expressions of interest from General Practitioners with a passion for patient centered care, and who would like to join their committed team situated in Coconut Grove.

Working in a wonderful team environment, you will be able to utilise your previous skills and experience, thrive in working on complex cases and provide holistic care to every patient.

Northside Health NT opened in 2015 and has enjoyed massive patient demand since then. The team of Integrative Doctors, GP's, Practice Nurse, Psychologist, Naturopath, and Dietitian provide holistic care in many areas. Patients, staff and practitioners feel relaxed and comfortable in the warm, healing and positive environment.

Coconut Grove is named for the grove of coconuts on the coastal fringe of the area, and was used for farming until the suburb grew in the 1960's. Close to the suburbs of Nightcliff, Millner and Rapid Creek, Coconut Grove has a population of around 3,500 and is within easy reach of medical practices, shopping centres, the Nightlciff foreshore and dry season markets of Nightcliff, Rapid Creek and the Mindil Markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges and varied health care needs
  • Manage long-term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways
  • Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients
  • Actively communicate and coordinate with colleagues, specialist services and allied health professionals when sharing patient care
  • Refer patients to other health providers and specialists as appropriate

Essential Criteria

  • Proof of full working rights within Australia
  • Current Resume with contact details for two referees
  • Vocational Registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
  • Current Medical Indemnity insurance
  • Current Police clearance
  • Current Ochre Card (Working with Children)
