RWA NT (Rural Workforce Agency NT) are partnering with Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service (Wurli), to find a Credentialed Diabetes Educator to join their passionate team. Wurli is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering primary and clinical health care services to the Aboriginal people in Katherine and surrounding communities. Wurli prides itself on delivering a range of health services to the community in a style and manner that makes clients fell welcome and comfortable.
The successful Diabetes Educator will work closely with staff from all programs to provide comprehensive general practice service for the people with diabetes and their families. Being flexible, and multi skilled, you are able to work with a diverse range of individuals, to incorporate advanced clinical care, self-management support, running education and support groups and providing professional development to other clinicians.
Katherine is where the Outback meets the tropics. With so many landscapes and wonders to explore, such as thermal pools, waterfalls, Katherine Gorge, hiking trails and Cutta Cutta Caves, you will be able to immerse yourself into the tropical outback lifestyle. Katherine has a population of 6,303 and has modern facilities that include, supermarkets, shopping centres, banks, excellent cafes and restaurants, and has the RAAF Base Tindal close by. Wurli operates a range of clinics, that your role will service, which include main clinic (acute and general care), Gudbinji Chronic Disease Clinic, Binjari Health Centre, Women and Children’s Health and Men’s Health.
