Rural Workforce Agency Northern Territory (RWA NT) are partnering with Katherine Physio to find an Exercise Physiologist to join their caring and dedicated Katherine based team. Katherine Physio is Katherine’s only locally owned and run Physiotherapy practice. The team at Katherine Physio value further education and in house training to ensure their clients receive the best care available. 

This is a role that will offer the right candidate many exciting prospects including career growth, learning and professional development and the opportunity to work with a supportive and positive team. 

The unique and welcoming community of Katherine is a nature enthusiasts dream. The town is located just a short drive from the spectacular Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, the serene Elsey National Park and the tranquil Bitter Springs. Katherine is a multicultural community 300 km south of the Northern Territory capital city of Darwin. The climate is tropical which allows for plenty of opportunity to explore this beautiful sun kissed location.  

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Complete high quality and thorough assessments and develop tailored individual exercises for a range of conditions
  • Oversee and run exercise rehabilitation groups and classes
  • Work in a culturally safe and professional manner
  • Provide follow-up monitoring and care
  • Work in collaboration with Physiotherapists

Essential Criteria:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the below essential criteria:

  • Full working rights within Australia
  • Registration as an ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in private practice (desired not essential)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to evidence based practice, ongoing learning and professional development
  • Motivated, punctual and strong communication skills
  • Pilates experience desired but not essential
