  • Full Time Practice Nurse

The Role 

The Practice Nurse will provide crucial support to the General Practitioner by:

  • Performing clinical duties within required level of clinical competency
  • Explaining procedures to patients and providing them with support and reassurance
  • Triaging, administering immunisations and other injections
  • Managing wounds, chronic disease,performing ECG’s, spirometry, audiometry and collecting pathology samples
  • Maintaining clinical documentation

Essential Criteria

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification as a Registered Nurse with current Practicing Certificate
  • AHPRA Registration and Professional Indemnity Cover
  • Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment and drugs
