NT PHN has a variety of GP vacancies that suit individual and family lifestyles. Positions are available in practices in the tropical city of Darwin and the rural towns of Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy, Katherine and Tennant Creek as well as Aboriginal Health services which are usually located in remote communities across the outback.
The landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful and range from coastal sunsets to stretches of desert. The Northern Territory also offers plenty of activities to keep the family entertained, including camping under the stars, swimming in natural waterfalls, bushwalking and fishing.

Darwin, in the far north, is in the monsoon belt, where there are just two seasons; hot and wet (when floods can occur) and hot and dry. The climate of Darwin is mainly tropical, with the dry months ranging from May to September and the wet months usually from December to March. Alice Springs and Uluru - The Red Centre
The Red Centre is mainly dry all year round, with summer temperatures ranging from 20-35°C and from 6-20°C in winter.
Mainly tropical much like Darwin, the Katherine climate sees dry months from May to September and wet months from December to March. Arnhem Land and Gove Peninsula
Much like the Darwin and Katherine regions, Arnhem Land and the Gove Peninsula experience mainly tropical conditions; with dry months from May to September and wet months from December to March.
