Youth Mental Health Services

Youth mental health services will support region specific and cross sectoral approaches to early intervention for children and young people with, or at risk of a mental illness (including those with severe mental illness who are being managed in primary care).

NT PHN is currently managing local headspace centres which were previously managed by the Australian Government Department of Health.

headspace centres aim to improve mental health outcomes for young people aged 12-25 years with, or at risk of  mild to moderate illness.

headspace Centres in the NT include:

• headspace Darwin, including the Early Psychosis Youth Service (EYPS) is operated by Anglicare NT. Headspace and EYPS services are located at the Cascom centre, 13-17 Scaturchio St, Casuarina. An outreach service is also available in Palmerston.
