Nursing

We can offer support to nurses who are considering a career in primary health care in the NT.

How we can help with your move to the NT

We place primary health care nurses in Aboriginal community-controlled health services and not-for-profit organisations across urban central Darwin and rural and remote NT.

We can help find the right position for you and your family and support you in relocating to the NT.

Here's what we offer to support you in the NT:

  • a site visit, after you accept an offer of employment, so you can see where you will be working
  • an orientation program to introduce you to the clinical and cultural aspects of working in the NT and the health care system
  • continuing professional development, including access to grants and scholarships and bursaries.

Why work in the Northern Territory?

Living and working in the NT provides opportunities to develop your skills with exposure to unique chronic and tropical diseases as well as Indigenous and rural health.
